Ilya Shvartsman was born and grew up in the Siberian town of Tomsk, Russia. In 1992 he moved to Cleveland, OH, with his parents. Upon finishing high school in 1994, he briefly attended Cleveland State University and held various jobs such as a traveling salesman and a gas station manager. In 1997 he decided to go back to School and enrolled into Case Western Reserve University School of Engineering, graduating in 2002 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and Physics. Following his graduation he moved to Milwaukee, WI to work for one of area’s medical firms, where he works as a software engineer. Ilya is an avid reader, and recently took up biking and running as hobbies. He is fluent in Russian. Upon the insistence of his girlfriend, Ilya has found himself in a new opportunity, one that he can't wait to see come to life.
